Context and Objectives
BIBS brings together a set of analytical equipment dedicated to the study of biopolymers (polysaccharides, proteins, lipids). These facilities give insights into the structure (identification, modifications), the interactions, the organization and the location of these biopolymers in biological systems (tissues or plant parts, algae, bacterial environments, etc.) or synthetic systems (food, food matrices, biofilms, composite materials, etc.).
The available facilities may also address dynamic features (diffusion, mobility), the monitoring of degradation or transformation activities and the screening of large collections of samples on chemical and structural criteria.
